Scaling to $10MM & Beyond: Staff Accountability Secrets for Rapid Growth Landscapers
You’re a contractor — and it’s balls-to-the-wall busy season. If your company’s at a size where you can’t be on-site all the time…problems creep in. First, deadlines get missed. Your staff lacks focus. Then, quality starts to dip, leaving you to deal with mistakes that shouldn’t have happened. Petty finger-pointing becomes an ongoing issue…and you bleed profits because of all the inefficiency.
The bad news: Your vision of being the cool, calm leader of a high-performing team feels more like a fantasy…
The good news: Improving accountability with your team is surprisingly easy to fix.
The solution for smart landscapers is to rethink your system for holding people accountable. In this talk, Benji will share: How highly effective leaders get their staff to understand what’s expected of them. How to remove “that’s not my job” from your team’s vocabulary. (No more ugly surprises.🤦♂️) A $10MM contractor’s weekly management ritual that helps them beat targets WHILE strengthening relationships with customers, trade partners, and staff. PLUS: Get Breakthrough Academy’s Goal Setting & Review Tool. This helps you cross the chasm between thinking about a company goal and seeing your staff complete it. If you’re struggling to hold your staff accountable during the summer rush, you aren’t alone. It’s a problem that every growing contractor eventually faces.

Winning on Paper. Losing in the Field.
The hardscape world has seen ridiculous growth over the last five years and while thousands of businesses were able to surf the wave of demand created by the pandemic, most are, sadly, not prepared to take the next step forward. It’s a shame because another wave of opportunity is coming. There are four very noticeable trends that have taken shape and if we are not taking a good hard look at what they mean – both in terms of challenges AND opportunities – then, we are selling ourselves and our futures short. The surging demand for pools and outdoor kitchens cannot be ignored, and there are a few keys that are consistently leading to contractors having the winning bid. But once the shovels hit the dirt, too many teams are leaving money on the table through lack of proper planning, preparation or people. This talk will explore these opportunities as well as highlight some of the all-too-common pitfalls that are taking place every day citing real-world examples.

THE GAME CHANGING POWER OF CONFIDENCE CREATION
When you are your most confident, you share your ideas, embrace collaborating with others and take risks in order to grow. Confidence is the one thing that changes everything in any environment. As setbacks and challenges are destined to occur, those who are confident withstand the blows while others crumble under the pressure.
Lacking confidence typically results in an inability to get to the next level, get noticed or even be heard. The feelings of frustration, disappointment and anger that go along with lack of confidence can be debilitating. Lack of confidence leads to a life of existing instead of thriving. Even though it is clear that everyone wants to be confident, most people and companies do not have a plan to create confidence for the individual and within the workplace. As a result of lack of confidence there is a lack of revenue, lack of innovation and lack of collaboration.
There are often culture issues throughout organizations of blame and lack of trust when confidence is absent. Luckily, it doesn’t need to remain this way. There is a solution.
Heather Monahan has spent the last 24 years developing her strategy to create confidence, overcome challenges and step into your power. Heather will share with you her direct approach to create change for the individual and organization. Heather’s unique approach of sharing her personal low moments allows the audience to engage and relate quickly.
Learn how to create confidence in yourself and get ready to take yourself and your organization to the next level now.

Tech-Driven Procurement Strategies for Modern Companies
The vast majority of nursery growers, manufacturers, dealers and distributors are not yet ecommerce-equipped or tech-enabled and as a result, the landscape supply chain is predominantly siloed, non-digitized, offline, and built around analog processes. This reality makes for a painful, costly, and time consuming experience when it comes to estimating, procuring, and fulfilling materials for landscape projects.
In this talk Lisa Fiore, CEO & Co-Founder of LandscapeHub, a B2B plant and landscape materials online marketplace, will talk about tech driven strategies and tactics that Landscape Contracting companies can use to streamline their estimating and procurement related processes.
Joining Lisa Andy Migacz of AM Woodland Outdoor Design, an early adopter of LandscapeHub. They will share first hand experiences with LandscapeHub and offer insights into other best practices for effectively managing plant and materials procurement. Together, they will explore how embracing modern technologies can drive efficiencies and optimize employee productivity in landscape businesses.
